Indian Institute Of Technology Madras has released three lists today that is November 30, 2018, for indicating the application status of the candidate who filled the application form for GATE 2019. These lists are a provisional list, Rejected list, and Duplicate list. The application process for GATE 2019 had ended completely on 01 Oct 2018. The candidates who filled the application form must go through the list released today in order to check the status of the application form.
The provisional list released by IIT Madras has a total of 1118 candidates. It has the roll number of those candidates who have some mistakes in their application forms that can be corrected. These candidates will receive an Email in which the mistakes will be indicated to them. These candidates must check their emails and correct the mistakes before February 15, 2019. In case a candidate fails to make the changes until the last ate their result will be withheld by the conducting body.
The second list that is the Reject list has 140 candidates. This is a list of those candidates who have made such mistakes that can not be corrected. Such candidates who have their roll numbers in the list will not be able to take the GATE 2019 under any circumstances as their admit card will not be generated.
The Duplicate list released by IIT Madras has a total of 585 candidates. These candidates are those who have filled more than one application form. Admit card for such candidates will not be generated under any circumstances. Such candidates, therefore, can not take the examination and the application stands canceled.
The candiadtes who do not have their roll numbers in any of the three lists have their application status “approved” by IIT Madras. These candidates will be able to download their admit card that will be made available from January 04, 2019. The admit card will be issued online at GOAPS. Candiadtes will have to log in using their enrollment ID and password generated to obtain the admit card. Download the admit card generated and take a printout of the same. It is mandatory for candidates to carry this admit card to the examination center.
The Gratitude Aptitude Test In Engineering (GATE) 2019 is to be conducted from February 3 to February 10, 2019. All the branch wise examinations are to be conducted in 2 slots by the conducting body that is Forenoon: 9 AM-12 PM and Afternoon: 2 PM-5 PM. The GATE examination is taken by candidates pursuing engineering. The significance of GATE being that it is necessary for candidates Master’s programs in Engineering / Technology / Architecture, Direct Doctoral programs in Engineering / Technology / Architecture. Also, many Public Sector Undertakings accepts GATE score for their recruitment process.
