Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is conducting the Common Admission Test (CAT) on November 25, 2018. 2.41 Lakh have registered for the exam this year. It is expected around 2 Lakh students will take the test in one of the 2 slots. All the CAT aspirants must have studied hard to give their best on the exam day. So, do not let hitches on the D-day to hamper the performance. Thus, by taking certain precautions against any inadvertent event helps to appear for the exam smoothly.

Affix the photograph same as uploaded in registration form

First and most important is that candidates forgets to affix photograph on the CAT 2018 Admit Card. Thus, first of all, take the print out of hall ticket in A-4 size sheet using the laser printer atleast two days before the exam. Also, arrange the hard copy of the photograph as uploaded in the registration form. Candidates may not get material to stick the photograph on the exam day. So, take the admit card having the photograph already affixed on it.

Locating of Test Centre and Reporting Time

Often candidates forget to check the exact location of the test centre and find it difficult to locate the same on exam day. So, what candidates can do is locate the nearest connectivity to the exam centre. If candidates are coming to take the exam by road, then be updated with the routes and traffic situation. For the morning slot, students must reach by 7:30 AM and for afternoon slot reach latest by 01:00 PM.

Dress Codes

Often candidates in a hurry do not pay much attention to the attire they are wearing for the exam day. It is important because the exam conducting body has released certain guidelines regarding the dress code that needs to be followed on test day. First and foremost wear comfortable clothes and especially without pockets. Do not wear any kind of Jewellery, jackets etc. Candidates are allowed to wear socks inside the exam hall but not any kind of footwear.

Use of Sheets

May candidates have the habit to use extra rough sheets in order to solve the questions. On the exam day, students will get the writing pad and pen but it will be given only once to each candidate. So, while solving questions make sure that you do not run out of sheets. Also, do not use the keyboard while taking the exam as it will lock the system.
