Cantonment Board Deolali, Maharashtra organizing recruitment for the posts of assistant health inspector, junior assistant / jr clerk, office assistant (peon), and junior engineer (mechanical). There are respectively one, one, five, and one vacancies for the said posts. The Deolali Cantonment Board is accepting online applications through canttboardrecruit.org until September 16.

To enroll for the post of assistant sanitary inspector, it is required to be a SSC pass-out and hold a diploma in the course of sanitary inspector. A junior assistant clerk must have passed class 12, have MSCIT or CIT or equivalent certificate, and have an english typewriting speed of 40 wpm or hindi speed of 30 wpm. Class 7 pass candidates can apply for the post of peon. Whereas to engage in junior engineer mechanical post, diploma holders in mechanical engineering will count as essential qualification.
Candidates have to register online at canttboardrecruit.org before the last date. For submission of the application, go to new user registration and select deolali form drop down option in the new user registration section on the website. Then select the post you want to apply for. Enter your mobile number and get the OTP. Login again with the help of otp and application number. Start filling the form and upload scanned photograph and signature and submit the form.
There is a non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 have to be submitted applied for each post. The payement has to be done via credit card / debit card / net banking.
The date for downloading the admit card is not yet intimated by the board. Candidates have to check regularly the website of canttboardrecruit.org for that.
However, exam dates for the posts are already available. Cantonment board will conduct exam for assistant health inspector and junior assistant clerk posts on October 20. The exam date of office assistant peon is October 27 and that for junior engineer mechanical is November 3. All the exams will be conducted at Deolali cantonment between 10.30 am to 12.00 pm.
Written test will comprise of 100 questions of 3 marks each. All questions will be multiple choice type. There will be negative marking to the tune of 1 mark for every incorrect answer in the paper.
The selection of the candidates will be subjected to the performance of candidates in written test which carries a 100 % weightage. The written test consists of multiple choice questions (in Hindi and English). There is no skill test for the post of Asstt. health inspector, office assistant (peon) and Jr. engineer (mechanical).
Although merit list will be based on performance in written exam, those who apply for junior assistant, post will have to qualify skill test on English typewriting of 40 wpm/ Hindi typewriting of 30 wpm.
