Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences is inviting application from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies for the posts of LDC and MTS. As per a detailed recruitment advertisement published at bsip.res.in, 15 vacancies are available in all. The vacancies are to be filled up on the basis of direct recruitment. Applications for recruitment can be sent in the prescribed proforma to the Registrar of the institute. The last date of receipt of applications by post is October 23, 2020, till 05.00 PM. As per the advertisement published by the Institute, there are 07 vacancies available for the post of Lower Division Clerk and 08 for the post of Multi Tasking Staff-I. The reservation of vacancies across various constitutional categories for each post is indicated in the detailed advertisement. Selected candidates appointed to the post of LDC are entitled to receive compensation at Level 02, Rs 19900-63200 (PB-1 Rs 5200-20200 +GP Rs 1900). On the other hand, candidates appointed to the post of Multi Tasking Staff-I are entitled to receive compensation at Level 01, Rs 18000-56900 (PB-1 Rs 5200-20200 + GP Rs 1800).
Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. The minimum age of the applicants for each post is 18 years. Similarly, the maximum permissible age of the applicants is 25 years. Candidates must also have the specified minimum educational qualifications required to apply for each post. 12th pass candidates having a typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on Computer are eligible to apply for the post of LDC. On the other hand 10th pass candidates/ITI qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Multi Tasking Staff-I. Relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per government norms in vogue and candidates must note that the crucial date of age determination is the closing date of applications i.e. October 23, 2020.
The selection of eligible applicants is to be done by a Screening Committee. Those who are shortlisted by the Committee will be called for skill/trade test. The decision of the Screening Committee recommended by Competent Authority will be final and binding in this regard.
The proforma to apply online is available at the official website bsip.res.in. Candidates who are interested to apply can download the proforma and fill-up hard copies of the application form as per the format. The hard copies must be forwarded to Registrar, BSIP, 53, University Road, Lucknow 226007, UP so as to reach the authorities on or before the last date. The applications must be accompanied with enclosure of self attested copies of supporting documents in an envelope with the name of the post applied for superscribed on the top. In addition, it is also compulsory to send the soft copy of the application form along with the scanned copy of Demand Draft to [email protected] The DD is for the payment of application fee of Rs 250.
