Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd. (BECIL) has officially extended the last date to apply for the recruitment of 200 Skilled and Unskilled workers. The recruitment was advertised through the official website becil.com in a detailed advertisement (BECIL/Job-Training/Advt.2020/04). As per the advertisement, the company will train and employ eligible and intending candidates on a contractual basis. The last date to apply for contractual recruitment is September 12, 2020. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.
As per the official website, there are 200 vacancies for Skilled and Unskilled manpower in the Electricity Distribution Substations of Uttar Pradesh with Assured Minimum Wages of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Vacancies will be filled up on a first-come training completion basis. However, one must be compliant with the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment.
In order to apply for recruitment to the post of skilled manpower, candidates must have an ITI Certificate in the Electrical or Wireman trade. The certificate must have been awarded by an NCVT or SCVT recognized institute. Candidates must also have Overhead Certificate for Electrical Safety and a minimum of 02 years of experience in Electrical in order to apply for the post of Skilled Manpower. On the other hand, 8th pass candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Unskilled manpower. Candidates with a minimum of 01 years of experience in the electrical field are preferred for this post.
The selection of eligible applicants is to be done through merit tests deemed to be held at Noida. For the exact dates of the Merit test including written, group discussion or PowerPoint presentation about Electricity Distribution Lines/Sub-stations. As per the official notification, the tentative regions of posting are Meerut, Noida, Bulandshahar, Gorakhpur, Siddhartha Nagar, Nagpur, Basti, Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Jaunpur.
Candidates must have reading and writing skills in Hindi and English. The total training period includes in house training for 15 days and on-site training for 15 days. Those who secure 80% or more in the merit tests are eligible for free training. However, those who secure lesser marks have to pay training cost as per marks slab specified by BECIL in the official advertisement.
Candidates intending to apply for this recruitment have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (General & OBC). For SC/ST and PWD candidates, the application fee is Rs 250.
