Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the Bihar Police Main Exam Result on August 06, 2018. BPSSC had held main exam on July 22, 2018. BPSSC recruitment of sub inspectors in Bihar Police is for 1717 vacancies. As per BPSSC SI Main Result 2018, a total of 10161 candidates marked their victory by clearing the main exam.

The exam was held at44 centres in Bihar for 29,359 candidates. Number of candidates to be selected for PET was set as seven times number of vacancies. Almost one third have qualified the exam. Now the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be held in the month of September.
After PET the candidates will be selected finally. As per the official notification, there are four sages in PET. The candidates have to undergo running, high jump, long jump, disc throw (gola phenk). The measurements to be satisfied in PET are set differently for male and female candidates. Each candidate will be given only one chance to perform each task. The commission declares the PET as qualifying in nature, and aspirants have to qualify it mandatorily.
However, the final selection is purely based on the marks obtained by aspirants in prelims and main examination. As per the cut off decided by the Commission, the final merit list will be compiled.
This is one of the most awaited recruitments in Bihar. BPSSC SI recruitment was notified last year in the month of September. Prelims exams were held on March 11, 2018. Due to elections in Bihar, the selection process of Sub Inspector have been delayed longer than usual. However, BPSSC is trying to wind up the selection process very soon.
