Bihar Public Service Commission is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Lecturer in Electrical Engineering in Govt. Polytechnic/ Govt. Women Polytechnic Institutes under Science & Technology Department, Govt. of Bihar. BPSC has announced a total of 119 vacancies for the Lecturer recruitment. Link to register and submit the online application form activates from August 07, 2020, onwards. To submit forms against the announced posts, candidates should have B.E/ B.Tech/ B.s/ B.Sc (Engineering) in Electrical Engineering/ Technology with first class or equivalent. Educational qualification acquired through distance mode or open university is considered invalid. Moreover, candidates must have obtained Enrollment with permanent recognition with AMIE. They must complete 21 years as on August 01, 2020. The upper age limit for the eligible candidates is 65 years.
Interested aspirants can submit their forms by visiting the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. Candidates first have to register themselves and thereafter proceed to submit the online application form. To start with, visit the official website and click on apply online > BPSC Online Application > Apply Online link against the Lecturer post. Before applying, candidates must have an email id and mobile number scanned image of the photograph, signature, details and documents for the payment. Once the application number and the registration number is generated candidates are advised to note it down for future reference.
While submitting the application form, candidates are also asked to make a payment of the application fee. General category candidates have to pay Rs. 750/-, Bihar state residents including the SC/ST/ General Female candidates have to pay Rs. 200/-, Physically handicap candidates have to pay Rs. 200/-. The fee can be paid through online payment mode only.
The selection process for BPSC Lecturer posts includes the screening of academic qualification, experience qualification, followed by an interview and professional experience of candidates as Lecturer. BPSC has allocated 20 marks for academic record and research work. Similarly, 40 marks are allocated to the evaluation of work knowledge and teaching skill. A written examination is conducted for the same wherein objective type questions are asked. Eligible candidates are invited for the interview round. The BPSC Lecturer interview is conducted for 15 marks. For this round, candidates have to carry documents in support of their eligibility. The last stage carries 25 marks of the total weightage. Candidates who have worked on a contract basis as Lecturer in the Department of Science and Technology are awarded 25 marks.
