Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is inviting applications for recruitment of 50 Associate Professors and 36 Professors in Government Engineering Colleges. BPSC has published Advt. No. 23/2020 for the recruitment of Associate Professors in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Advt No. 24/2020 for the recruitment of Professors in Mechanical Engineering. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply for the recruitment at the official website i.e. bpsc.bih.nic.in. Online registrations for recruitment to the aforementioned posts are commencing on August 25, 2020. The last date of registration is September 11, 2020. Fees can be paid online till September 16, 2020. The last date to fill up the online application form is September 23, 2020. Hard copies of the application form along with copies of supporting documents must be sent before September 30, 2020.
BPSC has advertised 50 vacancies for the post of Associate Professor (Electronics & Communication Engineering) and 36 vacancies for the post of Professor (Mechanical Engineering) in Government Engineering Colleges under the Science & Technology Department, Government of Bihar. Detailed vacancy bifurcation can be checked from the respective advertisements. Professors are entitled to a salary of Rs 1,44,200 at Pay Level 14. Associate Professors are entitled to a salary of Rs 1,31,400 at Level 13 A1.
Candidates having a PhD in Mechanical Engineering along with a First Class qualification at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply for the post of Professor (Mechanical Engineering). Such candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in teaching, research or industry out of which 03 years must be at the level of an Associate Professor. In addition, applicants must have successfully guided 2 or more PhD candidates as Supervisor and published 6 research. Candidates must be at least 32 years old and the age of superannuation is 65 years.
Candidates willing to apply for the post of Associate Professor (Electronics & Communication) must have a PhD in Electronics & Communication Engineering along with a first-class qualification at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the aforementioned engineering discipline. Candidates must have 08 years of experience in the teaching, research or industry out of which at least 02 years must be after PhD experience. Candidates must have published at least 06 research. The minimum age is 30 years while the age of superannuation is 65 years.
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of academic background, academic performance, research performance, domain knowledge, teaching skill and viva-voce. The total weightage of marks is 100 out of which, 20 marks weightage is allocated to the viva-voce stage.
Applicants have to pay a fee of Rs 100 in order to apply. SC/ST, Female and PWD candidates have to pay Rs 25. Candidates have to register first at the BPSC website using the email address and phone number. Thereafter candidates can apply online by filling and submitting the online application form after the payment of fees. In addition, candidates must also send the hard copies of the application form along with self-attested photocopies of supporting documents and photographs to Joint Secretary cum Exam Controller, BPSC, 15 Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Patna-800001 on or before the last date.
