Bihar Public Service Commission is recruiting eligible candidates for the post of Lecturer in Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering/ Technology. BPSC has announced 130 vacancies for Lecturers in Civil Engineering and 86 vacancies for Computer Science and Engineering/ Technology. Online registrations for the said posts will be conducted from September 01, 2020 to September 18, 2020. The last date to apply online is October 30, 2020. Aspirants who are interested in the recruitment can check Advt No. 39/2020 and Advt No 40/2020 to know more about the recruitment via bpsc.bih.nic.in. 

To apply for Lecturer post, candidates must have BE/ B. Tech/ BS/ B. Sc (Engineering) in the relevant engineering department. Candidates must have attained the minimum age limit of 21 years as on August 01, 2020. There is no upper age limit to apply for the BPSC Lecturer recruitment. Moreover, no lecturer shall continue his/her service beyond the age of 65 years.

The online application procedure is conducted through bpsc.bih.nic.in. Eligible candidates have to browse the official website and then click on the apply online > BPSC Online application > ‘Apply Online’ against the post name. By following these, candidates will reach the registration page for the BPSC Lecturer recruitment. Before proceeding with the registration and application procedure candidate should have the valid email id and mobile number so that they can receive important updates regarding the recruitment on the same.

BPSC asks candidates to submit the application fee for successful submission of the application form. General category candidates have to pay Rs. 750/- whereas Bihar state SC/ ST, Female candidates of Bihar state and Physically Handicap candidates have to pay Rs. 200/- as the application fee. The process of application fee submission is carried out through online mode.

Once done with the application procedure take a print out of the completely filled application form and send it to the BPSC address – “Joint Secretary Exam Controller, Bihar Public Service Commission, 15, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Beli Road), Patna 800001”. With the form attach the photocopy of 10th pass certificate, degree mark sheet and certificate, postgraduation degree and certificate, PhD certificate, physically handicap certificate, caste certificate, and others as mentioned. The hard copy and relevant document should reach the address by October 07, 2020.

The selection process for Lecturer post is organized in 04 stages – verifying the academic record and research work, evaluation of work knowledge and teaching skills through written examination, interview and bonus point for work experience. Applicants who have the prescribed eligibility have to take the written test. This test is conducted for 40 marks. Those who qualify the written exam are called for the interview round. The personal interview carries 15 marks. Keep tracking the BPSC website to check the final result for the recruitment.
