Bihar Public Service Commission has published recruitment advertisements 23/2020, 25/2020 and 26/2020 for the recruitment of 187 Associate Professors in Government Engineering Colleges. All of the advertisements are published and available for download at the official website of the Commission i.e. bpsc.bih.nic.in. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online at the BPSC website mentioned above on or before the last date. The last date to register online is September 11, 2020. The application fee can be deposited online until September 16, 2020. After registration, candidates can fill-up and submit online applications until September 23, 2020. In addition, candidates must send the hard copy of the applications along with supporting documents by 05.00 PM of September 30, 2020.
Advertisement 23/2020 indicates 50 vacancies for the post of Associate Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Through advertisement 25/2020, 17 vacancies have been advertised for the post of Associate Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Similarly, through advertisement 26/2020, 120 vacancies have been advertised for the post of Associate Professor in Civil Engineering. Interested candidates can refer to the respective advertisements for the detailed bifurcation of vacancies. Appointed candidates are to be compensated as per Level 13 A1 for Rs 1,31,400.
Interested candidates must, however, ensure that they must fulfil the prescribed minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. For the discipline of Electronics and Communication Engineering, candidates must have a PhD in the concerned subject and a First Class degree either at the Bachelor’s level or at the Master’s level. Similarly, candidates having a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and First Class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are eligible to apply for the concerned discipline while those having a PhD in Civil Engineering and a First Class degree at Bachelor’s and Master’s level in Civil Engineering are eligible to apply for the concerned discipline.
In addition, candidates must also have published a minimum of 06 papers in SCI Journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals. Candidates with 08 years or more of teaching/research or industry experience of which 02 years must be after the completion of PhD can also apply for the post. Selection of the applicants is to be done on the basis of academic background, performance, research performance, domain knowledge and teaching skill. The final selection is to be done on the basis of the final interview which carries 20 marks weightage.
An application fee of Rs 100 must be deposited by all unreserved candidates in order to apply. However, SC/ST, female and PWD candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 25 only.
