Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, has postponed BITSAT 2019 Slot Booking. According to the information brochure, the booking was to begin on March 28. However, through the telephonic conversation with BITS Pilani, Aglasem came to know that slot booking has been delayed and will now begin from April 05, 2019.
The reason for the delay in BITSAT Slot Booking 2019 is the extension in the application form submitting deadline. Earlier, the last date to fill and submit the application form of BITSAT was March 20 but it has been changed to March 31, 2019. Due to this, the Institute had to delay the booking process, as only those candidates can book a slot who will have submitted the form and paid the fee for the exam.
Every year, BITS Pilani announces BITSAT Test Center Allotment between registration and slot booking. The center allocation was to be done on March 27, however, it has also been delayed due to the extended application deadline. Now, the center allocation will be done on April 03, 2019. The centers will be announced online and the candidates will be able to check it by entering application number, date of birth, and e-mail id.
Same details will be needed to login and do the slot booking of BITSAT 2019. The BITS Admission Test will be held from May 16 to 26, 2019, in two slots. Slot 1 of BITSAT will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 noo, whereas, the slot 2 of the examination will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In the slot booking, the candidates will have to reserve one exam date and slot. The booking will be done on the first-come-first-served bases.
Candidates who will book the slots will be issued admit card on April 12, 2019. The admit card of BITSAT will be available for download until May 13, 2019. On the exam day, only those candidates will get permission to appear for the exam who will show BITSAT admit card. The admit card has to be carried as hard copy.
BITSAT 2019 will be an online examination. It will be held in 50 cities, out of which one center will be in Dubai. The Dubai center will only be allocated to those candidates who opted for Dubai in the application form. The exam will be of 3 hours and in it, the candidates will have to solve 150 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical reasoning
In BITS Admission Test, from Physics and Chemistry, 40 questions will be asked. Whereas, from Mathematics / Biology, 45 questions in all will be asked. The number of questions from English will be 15 and candidates will have to solve 10 questions from Logical Reasoning. All of these questions will be of 3 marks and choosing the wrong answer, negative marking of 1 mark will be done.
