Until now candidates who got minimum marks in the exam were declared qualified, and they could then take part in Bihar teacher niyojan. This time the cut off in Bihar STET exam 2019 will be 50% for general candidates. It will be 45% for SC, ST, PWD, female. This time the change is that after the exam, merit list will be created for all candidates who get marks more than cut off. After that Bihar School Examination Board will declare result of only as many number of candidates who have scored marks more than cut off.
Tie breaking will be on the basis of age, that is older candidates will get a higher rank. If tie does not break according to age then candidates with more marks in qualifying exam will get the higher rank in merit list. Finally, alphabetically rank will be done. This way the BSEB TET 2019 result will be announced.
The exam will have multiple choice questions with four options in each question. There will not be any negative marking in the exam. There will be 150 questions in paper 1 for madhyamik teachers, as well as paper 2 for uchha madhyamik teachers. In both papers, 100 questions will be related to the subject, and 50 will be related to teaching methodology.
Paper 1 eligibility criteria is that candidate must have graduation in the subject, and should have B.Ed. For paper 2, candidate should have post graduation in the subject and have B.Ed.
