In the recent notification of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking, information regarding the recruitment for Doctors is published. The official notification for the same is released on bestundertaking.com. As per the official notification of the recruitment, a total of 07 vacancies are out for the Doctor recruitment. A walk-in-interview for the BEST Undertaking recruitment will be conducted on September 10, 2020. Eligible candidates have to be present at Recruitment Section, 2nd floor, Personnel Department, BEST Undertaking, Electric House, Colaba, Mumbai – 400 001. They must report to the venue sharp at 09:30 AM.
The applications should be carried to the prescribed venue and submitted to the selection committee. A demand draft should be drawn of Rs. 150/-in favour of “The BEST Undertaking”. Along with the form, documents and certificates in support of educational qualification starting from school and college leaving certificate, 10th board certificate, MBBS degree, degree mark sheets, experience certificate, date of birth, registration certificate, aadhar card, PAN card and demand draft. Those who are unable to furnish these documents are not allowed to appear for the interview.
Before applying for the announced post, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by BEST Undertaking. To be eligible to appear for the interview, candidates must have MBBS degree qualification. They must have attained the minimum age limit of 33 years while applying for the post. Their age should not exceed the maximum age limit of 65 years as on August 01, 2020.
The recruitment to the Doctor post is on contractual basis. Their period of appointment will be of 11 months of duration. Renewal of the contract period is considered only if candidates have performed well subject to their work. During this period they receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 35,000/-. Also, a bus pass is issued to the newly recruited doctors under BEST Undertaking for free travelling on the Undertaking’s bus. Also, they have to give a minimum of 06 hours and 30 minutes (excluding the lunchtime) from Monday to Friday and 04 hours on Saturday to the service. Their reporting timings will be decided by the Chief Medical Officers and they have to attend them accordingly.
During their service period, they get 09 days of casual leave on a pro-rata basis. Unlike other recruitment processes, BEST Undertaking allows Doctors to practice their own private practice. However, their practice should not disturb their duty towards BEST Undertaking. Any kind of investigation/ treatment etc of the candidates/ employees should not be carried out by them in their private clinics or hospitals.
