Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is inviting applications from adequately qualified candidates to fill up vacancies for the post of General Duty Medical Officer on Adhoc/Locum basis. A detailed advertisement is available in this regard at the website barc.gov.in. Eligible and aspiring candidates can apply on the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copies of specified documents. As per the advertisement available at the BARC website, there are 7 vacancies available altogether. The vacancies will be filled up on an Adhoc/Locum basis and are constituted by leave vacancies. The period of appointment will therefore be for 89 days at a time. Selected candidates will be entitled to receive a monthly consolidated pay of Rs 38029. In addition, DA admissible to SO/C (Medical Officers) will also be paid.
Candidates must ensure that they read the advertisement and fulfil all the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying. Candidates within the age of 50 years are eligible to apply for this recruitment. One must have an MBBS degree in order to apply. In addition, professional experience is also required. Candidates with Casualty experience who have worked as GDMO will be preferred. Candidates must also have computer knowledge as they will be required to enter patient’s medical data on computers.
The selection eligible applicants will be done on the basis of interview. The selection interview can be conducted either through telephonic mode or video calling as per schedule. Interviews will be held on December 1 and 2 from 10.30 AM to 03.00 PM. Selected candidates will be appointed for working hours as per the requirement as permissible in OPD & ward/fever ward.

At the top of the application form, candidates must write the name of the post applied for i.e. GDMO.
