Bank of India is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 214 openings for Officers in various streams up to Scale IV – Project No. 2020-21/2. BOI has advertised the vacancies in an official notice dated September 01, 2020, published at the website bankofindia.co.in. The vacancies are for posts including Economist, Statistician, Risk Manager, Credit Analyst and others. Eligible and intending candidates are being invited to apply for the recruitment by submitting online applications starting tomorrow i.e. September 16, 2020. The last date of submission of online applications is September 30, 2020. Selection of eligible applicants is to be done through online examination for which, the date will be advised separately.
As per the official notification, the vacancies are available under various streams such as SPL and GBO at different scales. 4 vacancies are available for the post of Economist under different scales. 2 vacancies are available for Statistician post. 9 vacancies are available for the post of Risk Manager under different scales. 60 vacancies are available for Credit Analyst post while 79 vacancies are available for Credit Officer post. 30 openings are available for the post of IT (Fintech) under different scales.
Similarly, 3 vacancies are available for the post of IT (Data Scientist) while 9 vacancies are available for the post of IT (Data Analyst) under different scales. In addition, 8 vacancies are also available for the post of IT (Info. Security) in different scales and 10 vacancies are available for the post of Tech Appraisal. In total, 214 vacancies are available for the advertised posts. Intending candidates are advised to check the detailed vacancy bifurcation from the official notification available at the website.
BOI has indicated the scale of pay for various scales in which the vacancies are available. The scales include Junior Management Grade Scale -I, Middle Management Grade Scale-II, Middle Management Grade Scale III and Senior Management Grade Scale IV. The detailed breakdown of the remuneration amount is indicated against each scale in the official notification. Candidates occupying a post in a designated scale will be entitled to receive remuneration as per the specified remuneration indicated for that post.
Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for the recruitment. Candidates must be at least 20 years old as on September 01, 2020, in order to apply for the recruitment. The maximum age is specified separately for each post and applicants must be within that specified maximum age in order to apply. In addition, the minimum educational qualifications and experience required to apply for recruitment to advertised posts are also empanelled separately in a detailed annexure to the advertisement. In general, Indian citizens, having the necessary qualifications & experience and within the specified age limitations are eligible to apply for the recruitment.
An online test will be conducted for the selection of eligible applicants. The test will comprise of a paper-based on the subjects of English language, professional knowledge and general awareness with special reference to Banking Industry. The total marks carried by the paper is 175 and candidates must complete the entire test in a composite duration of 150 minutes. In the objective type question paper, there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Final selection of the qualifying candidates will be done through an interview or Group Discussion.
One must at first register at the official website as per the schedule and thereafter login with the credentials generated to apply online. After logging in, candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 850 (Rs 175 for SC/ST/PWD) following which, they can fill up the online application form. Completely filled up form with necessary documents uploaded as per specifications must be submitted online on or before the last date.
