Directorate of Medical Education, Assam has released the NEET 2021 merit list for candidates who have filled the application form for admission under state-based medical colleges of Assam. Those who find their name in the Assam NEET merit list 2021 released on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in now stand a chance to appear in the counselling round.
The merit list for Assam NEET 2021 has been released in the online mode only for those candidates who are domicile of Assam. It comprises major details such as name, roll number, gender, rank in the NEET 2021 exam, marks scored in NEET. Candidates who have found their name in the merit list will now be asked to appear in the choice locking stage.
The admission after clearing the NEET examination is done at two levels i.e. 15% AIQ and 85% for state-based medical colleges. This shall be followed by a counselling round wherein the prescribed documents will be cross verified by the appointed panel. As per reports, this year admission shall be provided to 6 MBBS and 1 BDS college. The final admission shall be subjected on the basis of the candidate’s domicile, category, AIR (All India Rank), marks scored, seat availability in the preferred colleges.
As of now, there is no update regarding the release of the counselling schedule by the directorate. However, with the release of the merit list candidates are now hopeful that the same shall be available soon. Candidates must keep a tab on the official website for the release of the updated counselling schedule for NEET 2021.

Step 3: Click on the admission notice and circular link and proceed

Step 5: Cross-check the merit list by either navigating or clicking CTRL+F with roll number or candidate’s name to check the final selection
