Army Recruitment Office, Hamirpur (HP) is going to conduct army recruitment rally to fill up various Soldier posts. A detailed recruitment notice in this regard has been published at the official Indian Army website i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in. As per the notice, eligible candidates of the districts of Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Una of Himachal Pradesh are invited to participate in the rally that is tentatively scheduled to be conducted at Paddal Ground, Mandi from October 06 to October 14, 2020. Eligible and interested candidates have to apply online at the aforementioned website starting from August 07, 2020. The last date to register and apply online is September 20, 2020. Eligible applicants are to be issued admit cards through registered e-mail from September 21, 2020 onward.
As per the official notification, the available openings are for the posts of Soldier (Technical) (Male), Soldier Technical (Ammunition Examiner) (AT) (Male), Soldier Technical (Aviation) (X Group) (Male), and Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant) (Male). Applicants must be within the age range of 17.5 to 23 years in order to apply. In addition, the minimum height and weight of the applicants must be 163 cms and 48 kgs respectively along with chest measurement of 77 cms (minimum 5 cm expansion). Candidates who have passed their Class 12th exam in Science stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject are eligible to apply. Relaxations in the physical standards are however applicable for specially reserved categories of candidates such as Indian Gorkha, Tribals of authorized Tribal Areas, and others. Applicants are advised to go through the official notification carefully to ensure that they fulfil the minimum conditions before proceeding to apply for the recruitment.
The initial selection of the applicants will be done at the rally site through physical fitness tests. As per the official notification, the fitness tests consist of various physical events including 1.6 kms run, Beam (Pull-Ups), 9 Feet Ditch and Zig-Zag Balance. In addition, the physical measurement of the applicants are also taken at the rally site to check if they comply with the minimum physical standards. Candidates also have to pass the Medical Test that is carried out at the rally site. Those who are declared Unfit are referred to MH/CH/BH for specialist review. Those who are finally declared fit after the review must report back to t he ARO for the issue of admit cards for the subsequent written exam. All other qualifying candidates are issued admit cards for the written exam at the rally site. The admit card indicates the details of the location, date and time of the written exam. It consists of negative marking and candidates have to pass the written for final selection.
All applicants who are initially issued admit cards for the rally must report to the rally site as per the schedule mentioned in the admit cards. The army does not provide any accommodation during the rally days. Therefore, candidates are advised to arrange for local accommodation beforehand. Furthermore, candidates must also carry specified documents to the rally site besides the admit card and 20 copies of recent colored passport sized photographs. These documents include educational certificates. domicile & bonafide Himachal certificate, Dogra class & caste certificate, religion & minority certificates, school character & character certificate, unmarried & relationship certificate issued by relevant authorities. In addition, candidates must also carry sports certificates, certificate of bonus marks, affidavit, single bank account documents, PAN card & AADHAR card to the rally site. The reporting time at the rally grounds is 00.01 AM at the entry gate and the date closes at 05.00 AM everyday during the rally.
There is no recruitment fee required to be paid in order to apply. Candidates must note that married candidates are not eligible for the recruitment. However all applicants must at first apply through the army recruitment website as specified here. The results of the written is to be declared on the same official website and selected candidates are required to report to the ARO for further documentation and issued of Rahadari certificate before they are dispatched to training.
