Dismissing all the rumours, the Directorate of School Education (DSE), Haryana, has made clear that schools in Haryana will remain close until June 15, 2021. DSE made the announcement via an official notice, which was sent to the schools.
Earlier, the state govt. planned to open the schools on June 01, 2021. However, due to the COVID situation in the state, the schools will remain closed for now. Right now, 2000 plus cases are reported every day in the state, as per the reports. Hence, looking at the situation it is not safe to open schools.
The schools are only closed for students. Teachers and staff have to report from June 01, 2021. Every day, 50 per cent of staff have to reports, as per the roster. The roster will be prepared by the schools on the basis of which 50% of teachers will have to attend the schools for educational and administrative work. Other officials, who are involved in report card preparation or any other admin work, also have to attend school, in accordance with the roster.
Most likely, even after the summer vacations is over, online classed shall continue. However, for now, there is no official notification for the same.
As per the reports, Kanwar Pal Gurjar hinted that the class 12th board exams might start from June 15 to 20, 2021. However, looking at the situation, it is very unlikely that the board exams will be held so soon. As per reports the new HBSE class 12th exam date sheet will be published, at least, 15 days before the commencement of the examination.
While most states are planning to reduce the duration of the exam or change the exam pattern and Haryana is doing the same. However, confirmation for the same is still pending. As per reports, candidates will be giving their HSBE Class 12th board examination, from their respective schools as their allotted center. They have to appear for all the major subjects as per their stream i.e. Arts / Commerce or Science.
On May 28, 2021, i.e. the state of Haryana reported 2007 COVID-19 cases in total. The surge in infections is now in control and the cases have surely subsided. However, it is not the end of the war, we still need to be very cautious with COVID-19 protocols like wearing masks, using sanitiser and washing our hands. Whenever the schools reopen for examinations, students must follow all these steps and precautionary measures for the safety of their own and those around them. Now, that that the vacations stand extended, candidates can utilize their time to revise their class 12th syllabus yet again. To pass the examination with flying colours, students should practice from the model test papers and standard NCERT extensively.
