BITS Pilani’s annual tech fest, APOGEE 2023, kicked off on the 31st of March with a grand inauguration ceremony featuring BITS alumni and UPSC AIR-1 S Nagarajan. The fest saw a huge turnout of tech enthusiasts from across the country. The Astro Club’s Night’s Watch, which was an all-night stargazing event, was a huge success with people enjoying the pollution-free skies of Pilani and witnessing several constellations and stars through the dome telescope. The event also witnessed the much-awaited RoboWars, where college robotics teams from across the country participated and competed fiercely for a prize pool of Rs 1.3 Lakh.
APOGEE also saw several engaging treasure hunts, escape rooms, quizzes, and shows that tested the skills and knowledge of participants in fields ranging from mathematics to mentalism. Naalayak, a Chandigarh-based rock band, and Prabhdeep, a Punjab-based hip-hop rapper, took the stage to enthrall audiences with their electrifying performances.
The Leadership Conclave on the third day of the fest featured distinguished speakers from the fields of science, entrepreneurship, and the arts, who inspired and motivated the attendees. Finally, the standup comedy show, N2O, brought some of the best comedians to the stage, leaving the audience in splits.
Overall, APOGEE 2023 was a huge success and one of the most thrilling tech fests in the country, showcasing the best of technology, creativity, and talent.
