State Education Department of Andhra Pradesh is expected to announce the Inter 1st year results soon, most likely in the month of June 2021. As the COVID-19 situation in the country has started stabilising, the education board is likely to announce the new schedule for the Inter 2nd year exams. The Class 12 board exams were scheduled to begin from May 05, 2021, but were postponed indefinitely due to the rising COVID-19 infections in the state. However, there is no certainty whether Class 10 board exams shall be cancelled or not, under the current circumstances.
The Andhra Pradesh Education Department announced the indefinite postponement of Inter 2nd year exams. This decision came after the High Court asked AP to reconsider its stance of conducting the Class 10 and 12 board exams amid rising coronavirus cases. While the Class 12 board exams are guaranteed to be held soon, state education minister A. Suresh remained silent on the issue of Class 10 board exams.
Recently, the education minister of India, Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ convened a meeting with state education ministers and education secretaries. During the meeting, he confirmed that CBSE Class 12 board exams shall most likely be conducted. A final decision on the same along with a new exam scheduled shall be announced on June 01, 2021. Following the same example, Andhra Pradesh government shall be conducting the Class 12 board exams. They are expected to release the exam schedule soon on the official website bie.ap.gov.in.
Telangana Education Department recently announced the Class 10 results for the academic year 2020-21. Due to this, there are speculations floating around that Andhra Pradesh shall also declare the Class 10 results without conducting the SSC 2020-21 examination. While no official announcement has been made to solidify these claims, sources suggest that the Class 10 results shall be declared in the first week of June 2021.
If AP education department declares the SSC results without conducting any exam, history shall be repeating itself. Last year, due to the COVID19 outbreak, the state did not conduct any board exams for Class 10 students. All candidates were promoted to the next standard. However, in 2019, approximately 6.2 lakh students had appeared for the exams out of which 94.88 percent passed.
If we believe the reports then around 5.8 lakh students are waiting for the update on the AP SSC exam. In case the exams are not conducted, students shall be evaluated based on the internal assessment criteria. This process of evaluation shall begin in the first week of June 2021 shall be completed in four days, as per reports.
