National Law University, Delhi has released a notice regarding the AILET 2022 exam date on the official website, nludelhi.ac.in. As per the notice, the examination is going to be held on May 01, 2022, in a single shift from 10 am to 11.30 am. The candidates who successfully clear the AILET entrance test shall will eligible to seek admission in any of the programmes, i.e. 5 year BA LLB Hons, LLM, or PhD.
The AILET 2022 application form and official brochure for all the exams will be released soon. Candidates are advised to remain in touch with the official website for all the latest updates regarding the AILET 2022 examination. With the exam date being May 01, 2022, speculations are high that the AILET admit card shall be announced in the second or third week of April 2022.
As per the eligibility criteria available for all the courses, the candidates applying for BA LLB Hons must have passed class 12th with 45% marks for the unreserved category in any discipline. In the same way, the eligibility for the LLM course is having a BA LLB degree from a recognized law college. The eligibility criteria for candidates opting for a PhD programme is having an LLM degree from a recognised university with at least 55% marks.
The BA LLB entrance test is held in offline mode for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The written exam has 150 questions that account for 150 marks. The questions are mainly from English, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, and Basic Mathematics. There is a prescribed marking scheme of adding 1 mark for correct answers and deducting 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
For AILET 2022 LLM programme, candidates will have to answer 150 questions based on the different topics covered in the LLB course. The duration to complete this exam is also going to be 1 hour and 30 minutes and there is a prescribed negative marking of 0.25 marks in the examination.
Candidates who successfully clear the examination are called for the counseling round held by the University and affiliated colleges. Only those who complete the counseling process are called to complete the admission formalities.
