Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has uploaded e-Books for the Higher Secondary Students. Now, candidates who are in the final year of Assam Higher Secondary can utilize these e-textbooks for the examinations. On Monday, May 17, 2021, the Council has announced that the Assam State Government will be providing free textbooks to the students of Assam Higher Secondary Final Year Students. As it may take a long time to do so, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to upload the e-textbooks of the subjects instead of distributing them. Now, the HS 2nd year class students can start pursuing the next session in reference to these textbooks.
As of now, the council has uploaded e-textbooks of a few subjects namely Physics Part 1, chemistry, Mathematics Part 1, Swadesh Adhyayan, Flamingo, Samasamayik Biswa Rajniti XII Assamese, Samasamayik Biswa Rajniti XII Bengali, Sahitya Saurov, Bangla Sahitya Chayanika, Byabashya Adhyayan Assamese, Byastibadi Arthabijnan Parichay Assamese, Byastikendrik Arthabijnan Parichay Bengali, Hisap Sashtra Pt I Assamese and Sadhinattar Bharatar Rajniti.
Interested candidates can download the Assam HS Final Year E-Books from ahsec.nic.in. On reaching the website, click on the ‘ebooks’ button that will be available on the left side of the homescreen. Right after candidates click it, the ebooks for Assam HS Second Year appear on the screen. Aspirants have to click on the subject to download the textbooks individually.
As per the official announcement, all the Higher Secondary Final Year Students who have filled the exam form for HS Final Year Exam were declared promoted. Such candidates can now start for classes for the HS 2nd Year Class for the session 2021-2022 that was scheduled from May 15, 2021. The classes will take place online as educational institutions will remain shut due to COVID-19 and Govt SOPs. The announcement has asked the Head of the Institutions to interact with all the teachers and the students to organize online classes smoothly. Council has asked the teachers and the head of the concerned subjects to do the needful by providing what is required for the online classes.
Moreover, the Assam State government has also forwarded a proposal that the candidates appearing for the Higher School Leaving Certificate (HSLC)/ Assam High Madarsa and Higher Secondary (HS) Final Exam will have to take only 03 papers in the final exam. Earlier, students have to attempt the final examinations where questions were asked from 06 different subjects. However, the number is now reduced to three owing to the COVID-19 situation.
