AFCAT 2018 Supplementary Exam on 24-25 March 2018; Things You Should Know Before and After Exam

Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) twice a year. AFCAT 2018 was held on February 25, 2018 but due to some technical faults and errors, many candidates faced problems in appearing for the test. Many aspirants were unable to finish their test & many were unable to attempt the questions. Candidates from various centers witnessed that they were facing problems in appearing for AFCAT 2018. They had a very bad experience.

So, for all those candidates who failed in attempting or completing the AFCAT test, a supplementary exam for AFCAT 2018 will be held on March 24-25, 2018. This will give another opportunity to all the candidates who faced problems earlier regarding AFCAT 2018.

Admit card for the supplementary exam is also available now. Candidates can download it from the official website. Keep checking your registered email id and sms for updates regarding admit card. It will not be sent to the candidates by post. For downloading the admit card, you need to provide all the login credentials on the admit card login page. After submitting you can check and verify the details mentioned on the admit card like AFCAT number, candidate’s name, father’s and mother’s name, gender, date of birth, photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, exam venue and timing details, etc.

To score well in the competitive exams like AFCAT, you should know all the important things regarding that particular exam before appearing in it. You should be aware about the syllabus, the pattern which the exam follows, the marking schemes, the preparation tips, best and recommended books and a proper startegy. You must have heard that practice makes a man perfect. This is applicable in all the aspects of life. Similarly, in the case of exams you have to practice as many times as you can.

You should make a habit of making notes of all the important tricks and tips or formula that you come across while learning. These small notes will one day help you to revise the whole syllabus at very lesser time. Time saving is the most crucial factor that contributes a lot in determining the results. Be effective and efficient in managing time during the exam. This can be achieved if you maintain a clock infornt of you while solving questions at your home. You will get an idea of how much time you are taking and how much time you should take. Consequently, it will be easier for you to improve after making the comparison and you will start preparing more effectively.

You should solve as many sample papers and practice papers as you can to improve your speed and accuracy in solving problems. Try to appear for mock test series so that you can judge yourself at a more higher level. Through this you will get to know your weaker and stronger sections so that you will be in a position to decide that what topics have to be emphasised more and what topics have to be given lesser time.

After the smooth conduct of the entrance test, answer keys will also be released which will help the candidates to predict their score and estimate their marks in the entrance examination. Answer keys also provide the candidates with a fair idea of their qualifying status in the entrance test. Final results will let the students know about their actual status of selection. AFCAT 2018 results will indicate the candidates that whether they are selected for further rounds or not.

The merit-based exam result will intimate the aspirants that whether they are eligible for AFSB rounds or not. The selected candidates need to book Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) testing dates. All the candidates need to bring the relevant documents for verification of eligibility. The stage 1 will include Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and Discussion test. Only those candidates who will clear stage 1 will move to stage 2 which includes the psychological test. After these processes gets over, GD/PI rounds will take place.

Aspirants who are eligible for flying branch will have to qualify Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT). After successfully completing all the processes, selected candidates can join the training period.
