Renowned social worker and educationist Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, was awarded his 60th honorary doctorate by Assam Down Town University during their 11th convocation ceremony in Guwahati.
This recognition highlights Dr. Samanta’s vast contributions to education, health, tribal development, arts, culture, literature, and rural development. The university honored his impactful work in these fields.
Although Dr. Samanta could not attend the ceremony in person due to prior commitments, a representative accepted the award on his behalf. In a recorded message, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude and stated that this 60th honorary doctorate would hold a special place in his heart, reflecting on his 33 years of dedicated service to society.
Dr. Samanta has been recognized globally for his contributions, earning honorary doctorates from prestigious universities around the world, beginning with his first in 2009 from Cambodia National University. This latest award brings his total to 60 honorary doctorates.
