In the Interim Budget 2019 discussion on Friday, the Interim Union Finance Minister, Mr. Piyush Goyal has announced that the government will set up the 22nd branch of AIIMS in Haryana. The All India Institute of Medical Science will be establishing its branch at Manethi village at Rewari district, Haryana. Now, the students of Haryana will have the opportunity to undergo the graduation and post-graduation in medical science in all its branches.
As per the spokesperson of the government of Haryana, an area of 22 acres has been identified for this purpose. He further added that it is a matter of pride and honor for the state to have a great organization to provide various opportunities to the students.
For many years, there was a demand for making AIIMS in the state. For this, the Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit made various efforts. He wrote to PM Mr. Narendra Modi and also met the Prime Minister and Health Minister JP Nadda. The efforts of State Union Minister worked and now, the government is establishing a new branch in the state.
The government has made an announcement for another important project named the National Cancer Institute at Badsa district Jhajjar. The Institute will be established for the study of Cancer treatment through proton. It would be the first institute in Northern India to have the proton facility for the treatment of cancer. The establishment date is not defined yet. But it is expected to be fully functional by February or March 2019.
As per the Interim Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, to prove the medical care, the world’s largest health care programme was launched named “Ayushman Bharat”. It was established to care almost 50 crore people, resulting in 3,000 crore savings by poor families
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a group of autonomous public medical colleges of higher education. The parent institute of AIIMS is established in Delhi. It came into existence in the year 1956. Currently, there are a total of seven AIIMS in the country. It is present in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh. The government is establishing the other 14 AIIMS in Gorakhpur, Nagpur, Mangalgiri, Kalyani, Bihar Sahrasa, Bhatinda, Madurai, Bilaspur, Devgadh, Kamrup, Gujarat, and Jammu and Kashmir. Now, the AIIMS in Haryana will be the 22ns AIIMS. It would be a big relief for the state.
