Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has revised the TISS-NET 2019 Result Declaration Date. Earlier the result was supposed to announce on February 04, 2019. Now, in the updated schedule, TISSNET result will declare on February 11, 2019, at 08:00 PM. The change has been done to implement reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as per the guidelines by Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD).
So, candidates who fall under EWS among general category can apply for reservation until February 08, 2019 (5 pm). Only students who have appeared for TISSNET 2019 examination are eligible to register for the reservation. In order to apply for the same, candidates need to login via Email ID and Password. Thereafter, upload the necessary documents and information.
Since the window to apply for EWS Category Reservation is open for 5 days only, candidates must fill the required details as soon as possible. Make sure that all the uploaded documents for the proof of reservation are valid and authentic. Candidates can check the eligibility for EWS reservation from University Grant Commission (UGC) Website.

As per the new reservation provided by the Government of India (GoI) in the 103rd Constitution (Amendment) Act, 2019, 10% seats are now reserved for Economically Weaker Sections. SCs, STs, and OBCs are not included under this reservation. Also, candidates’ family having gross annual income above Rs 8,00,000 are excluded from the benefit of reservation.
Once the TISS receives the re-application from the candidates, the institute will finally declare the TISSNET 2019 result. Candidates will able to download the result at tiss.edu using the registered email id and password. The result will declare in the PDF format only and need to be download to use during the admission process for the academic year 2019-21.
Last year, the cut-off was 74, 63, 58, 67, 56 and 69 for General, SC, ST, NC-OBC, PWD/ DA, and Armed Forces Respectively.
The result will contain the scores obtained in the exam and the cut-off required to participate in the next stage of the selection process. Candidates qualifying the exam will be eligible for Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview rounds. In total, TISS offers 53 courses, however, candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses only. So, as per the programme(s) selected by a candidate, the interview process will conduct accordingly.
TISS analyses the performance of a candidate in each round and releases the merit list as per the candidates’ performance. The selection process by the Institute mentions that 40% marks are allocated for TISSNET and 30% each for PIT & PI. The maximum marks for each round are 100, 50, and 75 respectively.
