As per the new reservation provided by the Government of India (GoI) in the 103rd Constitution (Amendment) Act, 2019, 10% seats are now reserved for Economically Weaker Sections. SCs, STs, and OBCs are not included under this reservation. Also, candidates’ family having gross annual income above Rs 8,00,000 are excluded from the benefit of reservation.

Once the TISS receives the re-application from the candidates, the institute will finally declare the TISSNET 2019 result. Candidates will able to download the result at tiss.edu using the registered email id and password. The result will declare in the PDF format only and need to be download to use during the admission process for the academic year 2019-21.

Last year, the cut-off was 74, 63, 58, 67, 56 and 69 for General, SC, ST, NC-OBC, PWD/ DA, and Armed Forces Respectively.

The result will contain the scores obtained in the exam and the cut-off required to participate in the next stage of the selection process. Candidates qualifying the exam will be eligible for Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview rounds. In total, TISS offers 53 courses, however, candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses only. So, as per the programme(s) selected by a candidate, the interview process will conduct accordingly.

TISS  analyses the performance of a candidate in each round and releases the merit list as per the candidates’ performance. The selection process by the Institute mentions that 40% marks are allocated for TISSNET and 30% each for PIT & PI. The maximum marks for each round are 100, 50, and 75 respectively. In order to prepare for these rounds, candidates can take help of the study material available at TISS official website.
