Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has released notification for direct recruitment of 2249 male and female drivers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is a great opportunity for the candidates who are seeking for a government public transportation job after passing class 10th or 12th. The registrations are open until August 11 at the official web portal ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
Before registering for this post, it is advised for all the candidates to be aware of the eligibility criteria required by GSRTC. A candidate should be a SSC pass out and should have a minimum of 4 years of driving experience of driving diesel vehicles. It is mandatory to have a public driving license issued from the regional transportation department. The age limit for the general category male candidates are above 25 years and below 38 years.
The selected drivers will get a fixed pay of 10,000 per month for five years. After the completion of 5 years, it will get increased.
For filling up the application form, the candidates need to visit the official website of Online Job Application System (OJAS), Government of Gujarat. Click on the registration button to apply. On home page, search for the section – Current advertisement section and click on view all. Select the department for GSRTC and apply. Go through all the terms and conditions and eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification. If your eligibility matches with the position, then start the registration process.
Candidates have to start filling up the mandatory fields of the application form – such as their personal details, communication details, language details, additional details, etc. After that, they need to upload the scanned photograph of size (5 cm x 3.5 cm) in JPG format, along with a scanned signature of size (2.5 x 7.5 cm) in JPG format. The signature should be done with a dark pen on a white sheet. After that verify the details once again and then click on the declaration button to proceed. After the successful registration, the candidate will receive their confirmation number. The application form must be download and printed for future usages by the candidates.
The candidates will get selected on the basis of thee overall performance of their academic marks. The SSC pass and HSS passed carries a weightage of 15 and 10 marks. The candidates who have experience of driving heavy diesel vehicles and license will carry a weightage of a maximum of 15 marks. Then there will be a driving test where the the candidates need to carry all of their original documents in the driving test which includes – their call letter, online application form, school leaving certificate, Marksheets, non-premier status certificate, driver’s license renewed by RTO, etc.
