Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress party is organising a job mela in association with the Pragathi Bharathi Foundation. This mela shall be organised in three districts – Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. V.Vijaya Sai Reddy, a member of the Rajya Sabha, addressed the topic of job mela in the parliament on Friday, April 16, 2021. According to the minister, a total of 4,000 job posts shall be given as part of the job mela. Moreover, 75 percent of the jobs shall be assigned to women and more such job melas shall be organised in the future.
The job mela is scheduled to be organised on April 24 and 25, 2021 at the AU Convention Centre located on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam. It shall be organised on April 25, 2021, at Government College, Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram district. Lastly, the mela shall be held on May 02, 2021, at Anandmayi Conventional Hall in Srikakulam.
Mr Reddy addressed the topic of job mela on April 16, 2021, stating that Visakhapatnam shall be named as the executive capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Mr.Reddy toured the northern constituency of Visakhapatnam city and was accompanied by the Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao.
The chief minister introduced various developmental projects in the city. All these projects shall collectively cost a total of Rs.3.92 crore. The MP M.V.V.Satyanarayana, , GVMC Commissioner G. Srijana, Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari were few of the other members present at the event.
Reddy further informed various steps shall be implemented to improve Visakhapatnam’s overall look. Authorities shall construct housing complexes for all the residents of 740 slums in the future executive capital. The Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy shall also begin the construction of Bhogapuram Airport. Along with this airport project, the six-lane road to Bheemunipatnam shall also be constructed.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister further said that YSRCP’s victory in the Tirupathi bypoll was a pre-determined conclusion. He also said that K.Atchannaidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former minister himself accepted that TDP shall cease to exist post April 17, 2021.
The YSRCP mega job mela are scheduled in three districts of Andhra Pradesh on April 24, 25, 2021 and May 02, 2021. The mela shall be hosting a total of 4000 jobs in the state out of which 75 percent of opportunities shall be dedicated to women. These job melas are aimed to boost the employment rate in the state. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a huge chunk of the population losing their jobs. Such job melas shall help these individuals get employment opportunities and thus, ensure their livelihood and financial stability.
