CAT 2018 Admit Card has been issued by IIM Calcutta on October 24, 2018. Candidates could easily able to download the hall ticket after entering the valid registration details and password. It consists of applicant registration details and exam important instructions. Since the important exam document has been available, candidates must process with the following procedure after downloading the CAT admit card.
#1. Take Admit Card Print Out
First, access the hall ticket from the official website and take the print out of it on the A4 size sheet. Candidates are advised to take the color print out of the admit card. It is not a compulsion to take the color print out of the admit card but it is advised so because it makes the photograph and signature clearly visible. Moreover, invigilator can easily verify and photograph during the document verification process.
#2. check all the Details in the Admit Card
Secondly, check if all the details in the admit card are correct. Importantly, check candidates’ name, registration number, date of birth, category, PWD (Yes/No), photograph, and signature. If there are any discrepancies, then contact at the official authorities at [email protected]. Though the details will be corrected if the candidates have not entered wrong details in the registration form itself. On the exam day, if the details on the admit card do not verify with the photo identity proof, then candidates may not able to take the CAT 2018 examination.
#3. Affix Passport SIze photograph on the admit card
All the candidates need to affix colored passport size photograph on the CAT 2018 Admit Card. It is essential to paste the same photograph as uploaded in the registration form. Affixing the candidates’ image helps to verify his/her identity in case photograph printed on the admit card is blurred. Even the photo identity proof required on the exam day must have similarity with the photo attached on the hall ticket.
#4. Read all the important Instructions on the admit card
After downloading the admit card, it is advised to the candidates to read all the instructions very carefully. There are some rules which one need to follow during the examination. For example- there is a particular dress code which one needs to follow while appearing for the test, and timings as per which one should report at the test center, etc. There are some very important instructions which one should abide by while appearing for the CAT exam.
#5. Locate Your Exam Center
There are few changes made in the CAT 2018 Admit Card. One key change is that the candidates can now locate the exam center allotted to them through the link which is provided on their admit card. With the help of this facility, the candidates can identify how far is the exam center from their place and what are the routes by which they can reach there. The arrangement to reach the test center on time has to be done by the candidate.
It is best advised to the candidate to locate their test center and its accessibility a day before the test so that they can reach the center on time on the day of the test.
