The authorities have earlier released the information brochure and notified the correct procedure and criteria that should be followed for declaring the result. Candidates can check out the space below to know the correct steps for the declaration of the result:
Step 1: As per the notification, the total number of candidates who qualify for the examination shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who have appeared in both the SET papers.
Step 2: The total slots of the WB SET 2022 shall be assigned to the multiple categories of the state of West Bengal.
Step 3: Candidates willing to get a selection in the WB SET examination have to score at least 40% of the total marks in both papers for the unreserved category. Whereas, those who belong to the reserved category should have scored at least 35% of the total marks in the examination.
Step 4: The authorities have mentioned a formula that is going to help in determining the minimum qualifying marks for a particular subject or category. Go through the space below to know what goes into choosing the correct number of candidates for the exam:
The number of candidates belonging to ST category who have qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor in ‘English × Total slots available for the ST category ÷ Total number of candidates belonging to the ST category over all subjects who have qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor.
The above formula is an example and the same must be used to determine the cut-off and qualifying marks for the WB SET 2022 examination.
