Safdarjung Hospital & VMMC is accepting applications for the post of Junior Resident (Non-PG) for recruitment on an ad-hoc basis

Medical Superintendent, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi is inviting applications to fill up 106 vacancies for the post of Jr. Resident (Non-PG) MBBS on a temporary basis. A detailed recruitment notice is released in this regard at vmmc-sjh.nic.in. Eligible applicants are to be selected and appointed to the posts for a duration of 89 days of residency. Candidates are invited to apply in person or through email as indicated in the official notification. The hospital is starting the process of receipt of applications on and from July 15, 2020. The last date of receipt of applications is July 21, 2020.

106 vacancies are advertised for the aforementioned post. Candidates who have an MBBS degree and registered with the Delhi Medical Council are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Applicants must have completed their internship on or after July 01, 2016. As per the detailed employment notice, there is no indication of the minimum or a maximum age limit to apply for the post.

Applicants are to be selected on the basis of the interview. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, instead of a face to face mode, the interview is to be conducted through video conferencing. Upon final selection, candidates are to be appointed on an ad-hoc basis for a temporary period of 89 days. The tenure of the post can be extended up to December 31, 2020, if found suitable. Shortlisted candidates are to be appointed at the Level 10 of the Pay Matrix for a payment of Rs 56100. In addition, such candidates are also entitled to NPA and other allowances as applicable.

Eligible applicants are invited to forward their applications in the prescribed proforma along with an attachment of necessary documents. The application form must be filled up completely and signed by the applicants. Self-attested copies of specified documents must be enclosed with the applications. These documents include the Permanent Registration Certificate from DMC, Internship Completion Certificate, and one passport size photograph affixed on the application form. The applications may be forwarded in person to the Diary & Dispatch section of Safdarjung Hospital (near Gate No. 2 and near Bank of Baroda Safdarjung Hospital Branch). Candidates can also submit their applications by forwarding them to [email protected] on or before the last date. All applications must be superscribed with the wordings “Application for the post of Junior Resident (Non-PG) MBBS.

Candidates must note that the advertised number of vacancies are subject to change at the time of interview/joining. Candidates who have previously served in Junior residency (House Job) positions must furnish the information in terms of period, department and name of Institution in the application form. However, candidates who have already completed one year Jr. Residency (Non-PG) in any Government Hospital are not eligible to apply for this particular recruitment.
