Vellore Institute if Technology (VIT) is all set to announce the VITEEE 2022 Phase 2 result today, July 08, 2022. This is precisely what the ‘Important Dates’ section states on the official website viteee.vit.ac.in. However, an exact time-slot for the result announcement has not been specified. So, candidates are advised to visit the official website and keep track of the result link. The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2022 was held successfully from June 30 to July 06, 2022. Registered candidates had to appear for the test in the Online Remote Proctored (ORP) mode.
After the announcement of the VITEEE 2022 result, the institute is going to begin the counselling process for qualified students. Students will get the opportunity to apply for B. Tech. admission at Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal campuses.
VITEEE 2022 Result – How to Check?
Once announced, aspirants can check their VITEEE 2022 result using the steps elaborated below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of the VITEEE 2022 examination i.e., viteee.vit.ac.in.
Step 2: On the website’s homepage click on the tab located just below the registration page.
Step 3: By clicking on the tab, a new page will open asking for login credentials such as Application Number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ option to access the scorecard.
Step 5: Download or print a copy of the result page for future reference. In case a smartphone is used to check the result, take a screenshot of the result.
What to expect in VITEEE 2022 result?
The scorecard will display important information pertaining to a student’s performance in the VITEEE 2022 exam. This information includes candidate’s name, roll number, score obtained in each subject, total score, etc.
Total score mentioned in the scorecard will be determined based on the marking scheme prescribed by VIT. The VITEEE 2022 paper comprised of 125 MCQs for a total of 120 marks. So, each question was allotted 1 mark, without any negative marking for unmarked questions or incorrect answers. Thus, the final score will be calculated using the below-given formula –
Total Score = (No. of right responses x 1)
Admission to VITEEE 2022 B,tech, programmes will be based on merit. Higher the merit position, greater is the possibility of getting the preferred course. As of now, students will not know the cut-off rank for each course. However, during or after the counselling round, they may get an idea. While waiting for the result, candidates can take a look at past-year cut-offs to understand the level of competition.
