Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is likely to announce the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2021 in the first week of June 2021. Once announced, candidates check their results on the official website vit.ac.in. Currently, the institute has conducted exams on two scheduled dates, May 28, 29 and 31, 2021. Following this, the last day of exams is scheduled for Monday, May 31, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exam is being conducted through the online remote proctored format. Once the results are out, the institute shall subsequently conduct the counselling process for the qualified candidates. The counselling schedule shall be published on the VIT website as well as the VITEEE login portal.

Once all the VITEEE 2021 sessions are done, VIT is expected to announce the entrance exam results on the official website vit.ac.in within the first week of June 2021. This year, the results may also be displayed on the website viteee.codetantra.com. The results or candidate scores shall not be displayed publicly. According to the Online Remote Proctored Examination (ORPE) guidelines, VIT shall only be publishing the ranks of candidates after conducting all the sessions.

VIT authorities shall not be displaying the test scores immediately after the test ends. In fact, these scores shall not even be mentioned in their scorecards. Candidates should note that their VITEEE 2021 exam answers are auto-evaluated and not manually evaluated. Hence, any requests for re-examination or re-evaluation shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

To check their VITEEE 2021 results, aspirants must simply enter their application number and password to log in to the official portal. Based on the rank acquired and the availability of seats, aspirants shall be called for the counselling session. Thus, to seek admission at VIT, the rank matters more than the marks scored in the exam. To secure a seat, candidates are required to appear for the counselling session or their name shall be withdrawn from the admission process.

While the VITEEE 2021 rank is more important, the marks scored in the exam also decides the candidate’s rank. As per the institute’s marking scheme, candidates are awarded 1 mark for every right answer. However, no marks are deducted for wrong or unanswered question. Again, scores are not revealed by the institute during the result declaration.

Based on the marks acquired in the VITEEE 2021 test, a rank is awarded to each candidate. Thus, the more marks secured by the candidate, the better his/her rank shall be. Based on the ranks assigned, VIT shall prepare a merit or rank list in which candidates shall be arranged based on their ranks. The same shall be published on the official website.
