The Uttarakhand Sanskrit Education Board has decided to conduct its board examinations from July 20-23, 2020. The Board secretary has released an order on July 11, 2020 specifying that the exams shall take place in two shifts. While most of the education boards have postponed or cancelled the exams due to COVID-19, Uttarakhand Sanskrit board will be conducting the examinations while keeping in mind the social distancing guidelines.
The exams will be held across 59 centres and these centres will be sanitised two days ahead of the commencement of the examinations. The Uttarakhand Board had conducted the 10th and 12th remaining exams from June 20, 2020.
UBSE Education Secretary, R Meenakshi Sundaram conducted a video with the district officials and decided the exam dates. The final decision was taken after considering the heavy rainfall that occurs in the state in June end.
The board exams shall be conducted keeping in mind the social distancing norms released by the both Central and State governments in relation to curb COVID-19 pandemic. Tlso, considering the risk factor involved with the mass gatherings amidst a pandemic, the centres will be sanitized two days prior to the first exam.
Some of the norms for the students appearing for the examinations will have to get their thermal screening done before entering the examination hall. The students must also carry sanitizer and there should be proper usage of masks during the examination. Basically, the guidelines that have to be following at the examination centre are using masks, hand sanitizers.
As of now, no official announcement has been made regarding the declaration of UBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2020 results, however, the reports suggest that the evaluation of the answer sheets shall be completed till July 15, 2020.
The Directorate of Sanskrit Education and Sanskrit Education Council has been established in Uttarakhand with the aim of completing the Sanskrit Education and planning in order to increase Sanskrit education gradually and day-by-day.
