Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Rajasthan issued a public notice on Monday, June 07, 2021, regarding the extension of the registration deadline for the post-matric scholarship 2020-21 examination. The public notice was published on the official website sje.rajasthan.gov.in. Accordingly, the registration deadline has been extended from May 31, 2021, to June 21, 2021. Thus, candidates who are yet to register for the scholarship exam were permitted to do so from June 07, 2021. Candidates were further advised to visit the website sjmsnew.Rajasthan.gov.in/scholarship/ for details regarding the scholarship exam. They may also contact the authorities on the prescribed mobile number to get additional information.
Previously, authorities were scheduled to close the post-matric scholarship 2020-21 registration on February 28, 2021. However, a notice was issued on the official website sje.rajasthan.gov.in on March 03, 2021. According to the notice, the deadline was extended to May 31, 2021, giving approximately 2 extra months for candidates to register. The deadline was again extended on June 07, 2021, providing two weeks for candidates to apply for the scholarship test. The reasons for an extension, however, were not cited in the public notice.
According to the notice issued on Monday, the scholarship scheme is applicable for Class 11 and 12 students who belong to various reserved or economically downtrodden categories. These categories include SC, ST, Economical Backward Class (formerly known as Special Backward Class), etc. The scheme has been put forth by state or private institutions within and outside the state of Rajasthan.
Interested and eligible candidates must undergo the paperless, online registration process to apply for the post-matric scholarship. The online application form is available on the official website sje.rajasthan.gov.in. To do so, candidates must click on the “Scholarship portal” present under the “Apply Online/E-Services” section of the website’s homepage.
In the next step, candidates must click on the ‘Sign up/Register’ option for new registration. A new link shall open in which aspirants must click on the register option. Four options shall be displayed – Jan Aadhaar, Bhamashah, Facebook and Google. Candidates must select one of these options and proceed to the next step.
In case candidates select Google, a window shall open in which they must select their google ID and enter their password to sign-in. After verifying the account, a new link shall be provided in which candidates shall receive their SSOID. They must validate the code by clicking on the tick next to it. Thereafter, they must enter the password twice, mobile number and click on the ‘register’ option.
After successfully registering for the scholarship, they must login to the portal by entering their SSOID and password. They may also click on the link received on their registered email ID to login to the portal. Thereafter, they must complete the remaining registration steps to apply for the scholarship on or before June 21, 2021.
