The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board is expected to release the revised answer key for the UPTET 2022 exam anytime today. The board had earlier announced the release of the answer key on February 25, 2022. However, UPBEB deferred the publication of the same owing to the state assembly elections. The election commission rules had restricted the government to proceed further with any recruitment process/examination in the state, as stated under the model code of conduct rule.
UPTET Final Answer Key – To release today?
It was notified that the final answer key would be released only after the state assembly elections have concluded. Now that the assembly elections and countdown is over, the candidates can expect the revised answer key to be made available by the board anytime today. The applicants can view and download the answer key from the UPEB official website updeled.gov.in. It must also be noted that no further objections to the final answer key will be entertained by the board.
The UPTET 2021-2022 exam was held on January 23, 2022, and the provisional answer was released on January 27, 202. The candidates were allowed to challenge the answer key by submitting their objections to the answers by February 1, 2022. As per reports in the local dailies, around 21 lakh applications were submitted for UPTET 2022, and approximately 18.22 lakh candidates were reported to have appeared for the exam.
UPTET conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board is a state-level exam to secure eligibility for teaching. The exam is conducted in two parts, Paper I at the primary level for teaching classes I to V, and Paper II at the upper primary level for classes VI to VIII. The candidates who qualify the UPTET exam earn a TET certificate that holds a lifetime validity.
UPTET minimum qualifying marks
The minimum qualifying marks for the exam is set at 60% or 90 marks for the unreserved category and 55% or 82.5 marks for reserved categories that include ST, SC, and OBC. The candidates who clear the exam will secure a position in the merit list announced by the board. They will further be required to appear for the next stage of document verification as notified by UPBEB.
