Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) authorities have today, November 23, 2021, announced the exam date for the Junior Engineer (JE) Exam 2016. An official notification regarding the same has been released on the official website upsssc.gov.in. Accordingly, the written exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 19, 2021. This announcement comes hours after incessant protests and demands by candidates, persuading authorities to announce the results. Here’s all a candidate needs to know.

Today, UP govt job aspirants from all corners of the state demanded UPSSSC to announce the JE 2016 and 2018 exam dates. Complying to all these demands, the commission announced the exam date for the JE (II) 2016 test. However, the demands were just half-met as the JE (II) exam date is still a question mark. However, candidates can expect the second exam’s date to come out in the next few days.
According to the official notice released today, the UPSSC JE (II) 2016 exam is going to be conducted on December 19, 2021. Admit cards for the same will be released in due course of time on the official website, in due course of time. the same was reiterated through the notice as well. However, no tentative date was announced for the admit card release, creating a new type of anticipation among candidates.
In 2016, UPSSSC authorities invited applications from December 27, 2016 to January 19, 2017, for the recruitment of multiple vacancies under 489 posts. While the application process was successfully conducted, authorities waited almost 4 years to announce the exam date. All those who registered during this timeline will now be appearing for the exam in the pen-and-paper mode.
Those who qualify the written exam will be asked to appear for the personal interview session. Based on the overall performance of candidates in the UPSSSC JE (II) 2016 selection process, candidates will finally be inducted to fill-up various vacancies. Of course, they will be subjected to document verification to ascertain their eligibility claims.
In 2018, the state commission invited applications from October 30 to November 30, to fill a total of 1477 vacancies under the JE post. Candidates were given a 30-day period to register for the recruitment exam on upsssc.gov.in. Till now however, authorities have not provided any fixed exam date. However, the commission is not likely to conduct two recruitment drives at the same time for the same post. Hence, the 2018 recruitment drive is likely to begin once the 2016 one has been completed.
Still, candidates can keep track of the official website for any latest announcement regarding the 2018 exam. Even if the exam is scheduled next year, UPSSSC might just announce the exam date soon.
