Union Public Service Commission has released an official notification for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Extension Officer, System Analyst cum Computer Programmer and Foreman (Mechanical). The conducting body has advertised 09 posts for UPSC recruitment. Online registrations for this recruitment have already started for the aforementioned posts Candidates are suggested to submit their applications before the last date which is November 12, 2020. Aspirants can also download the Advt. No. 13/2020 from upsc.gov.in.
Out of the total announced vacancies, 01 is advertised for Extension Officer, 05 vacancies are for System Analyst and 03 vacancies are for Foreman (Mechanical). Candidates who are appointed under these advertised vacancies are recruited for a probation period as per rule. They will be posted as headquarters as specified in the notification.
To apply for the advertised posts, candidates have to ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility by UPSC. To apply for Extension Officer, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension. Those who have a Master of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture are also eligible for Extension Officer post. Candidates who have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with one-year experience in a relevant field can apply for Foremen (Mechanical) post. Those who are an associate member of Institute of Engineers (AIE) in Mechanical Engineering with one year experience can also apply for this post. Applicants who have a Master’s degree in Computer Applications or M.Sc computer science or M.Sc information technology can apply for System Analyst cum Computer Programmer.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications for UPSC recruitment by visiting the official website, upsconline.nic.in. There they have to click on “online recruitment application (ORA) for various recruitment posts”. Then, select the ‘apply online’ link present against the post name. Thereafter, candidates can start filling the application form.
Moreover, candidates are also supposed to submit the UPSC application fee. Those who belong to the Unreserved/ EWS category have to pay Rs 25/- as the application fee. Those who belong to SC/ST PH/ Women category are exempted from the process of fee submission. The fee can be submitted using visa/ master credit/ debit card or remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash.
UPSC will conduct an interview and/or recruitment test for the selection of eligible candidates. The schedule for UPSC recruitment will be released later on through the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in. Aspirants have to secure a minimum 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST/ PH) in recruitment test/ interview for the final selection.
