UPSC CDS 2 Result 2019 Announced; 8120 candidates qualify for SSB

The next step is the SSB interview. Selected candidates have to submit the original documents to the specified venue for appearing in SSB.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the CDS 2 result on November 01, 2019 for the written exam held on September 08, 2019 . The result has been declared on upsc.gov.in in form of 2 PDF files. Out of the 2 PDF files, 1 has the roll numbers of the selected candidates and other has the name and roll number both, of the selected candidates. A total of 8,120 candidates have qualified the written examination.

To check the selection status the candidates need to check for their name or number in the PDF file. If their name/roll numbre appears in the result PDF, it means they have been selected for the interview by the Service Selection Board (SSB).

The selected candidates are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC certificates etc. as claimed by them. The submission of the certificates is to be done by July 01, 2020 for IMA & NA; by May 13, 2020 for AFA and by October 01, 2020 for the SSC course only.

The certificates have to submitted to IHQ of MoD (Army), Rtg ‘A’, CDSE Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice. The candidates who have Navy as their first choice have to submit the certificates to Naval HQ “DMPR” (OI & R Section), Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011. For the candidates with Air Force first choice have to submit their certificates at PO3(A)/Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110106.

The candidates have to submit their certificates to the above mentioned addresses only and not send them to the Union Public Service Commission.

Also, the candidates who have given their first choice as army (IMA/OTA) have to register on the recruiting directorate website joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to receive call up information for SSB interview. However, the candidates who are already registered, do not have to register again.

The SSB interview consists of intelligence and personality test. On the day of the interview carry the photo id that was used to fill up the application form of upsc cds 2. Ssb will be divided into stages I and ii. In stage 1, candidates will be given officer intelligence rating (oir) on the basis picture perception description test (pp&dt). In stage-2, there is group testing officer tasks, psychology tests and the conference.

The qualified candidates can download the mark sheets from the Commission’s website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result of OTA (after conducting SSB interview). The mark sheet will remain available until 30 days.

After the final selection candidates will get admission in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 149th (DE) Course; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (208 F(P)); Officers Training Academy, Chennai 112th SSC (Men) and Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 26th SSC Women (Non-Technical).
