Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has conducted the Main examination of Provincial Civil Service Examination 2017 from June 18 to July 06, 2018. From then the Commission has been preparing to release the main examination result. Earlier the main examination was postponed twice. Now the UPPSC is facing the challenge to announce the PCS results before the polls in UP, which are starting from April 11, 2019.
In PCS 2017 preliminray examination total 4,55,297 candidates applied for the exam, later 2,46,654 candidates enrolled in the examination. Total 14,032 candidates were qualified for the main examination. The UPPSC will select the 617 candidates for the post of Deputy Collectors.
On the other hand, the PCS 2018 aspirants are waiting for the preliminary examination result. The preliminary examination of PCS 2018 held on October 2018 for 831 posts in Upper Subordinate Services, and 16 for ACF post, and 76 for RFO post. Likewise PCS 2017 main, the preliminray examination of PCS 2018 was postponed once too. The examination was slated to hold on August 19, 2018.
Around 6.5 lakhs candidates registered for the preliminary examination as per the media reports. There was a rise of 2 lakh applications from the previous year applications. That was one of the main reasons, for postponing the examination.
The answer key for the preliminray examination has been released on January 24, 2019. And the Commission invited the candidates’ objection to answer key until January 30, 2019. The final answer key will be released after the consideration of representation submitted by the aspirants.
Now the aspirants of PCS 2017 are waiting for the main exam result for appearing in the interview, whereas the PCS 2018 aspirants are waiting to appear in the main exam.
After the final selection of PCS 2017 aspirants, the pay scale of candidates will be Rs 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with Grade Pay (GP) of Rs 4,200/- to Rs 15,600/- Rs. 39100/- with GP of Rs 5,400/-.
The finally selected candidates of PCS 2018 will be paid as per the admissible pay scale of Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/- and Grade Pay- Rs.5400/- for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), and Rs.9300/- to Rs.34800/-, Grade Pay- Rs.4800/- for Range Forest Officer (RFO).
Recently on February 22, 2019, the final result of PCS 2016 was declared at uppsc.up.nic.in. Total 630 candidates are selected for 633 posts of Deputy Superintendent. Jaijeet Kaur Hora from Kanpur bagged the rank 1 in the exam. Vinod Kumar Pandey from Pratapgarh and Navdeep Shukla from Allahabad were on 2nd and 3rd rank respectively.
