Board Exams Back In Class 5th and 8th

MP Board has come up with a new change for class 5th and 8th students. From the academic year, 2019-20 board examinations have been resumed in class 5th and 8th. On March 07, 2019 Madhya Pradesh board has issued the notification for the same. Thus, board examinations are back in class 5th and 8th of MP Board. At the same time, the MP board made clear to all the state board affiliated schools that no student will be expelled from school till the completion of elementary education.

As per the notice issued if any student not able to get the result status as pass then he or she will be provided extra classes and received the opportunity for re-examination within a period of two months from the date of result declaration. And if the student again gets fail in the re-examination then he or she shall not be promoted further. This means that a student will require to repeat with the same class.

While the idea of implementation of board exams has been proposed from the 2017- 2018 academic session. However, the union government has not granted permission to the state for conducting the board exams for class 5th and 8th students. The reason behind the disapproval was that the amendment needs to be made in the RTE Act to carry forward the process. And so, after the amendment made the board exams for class 5th and 8th resume. In August 2016, before forwarding the same to the union government for approval state education department had passed the proposal first.

MP Board conducts the class 10th and 12th board examinations in the month of March annually. Similarly, the board is going to conduct the board exams for class 5th and 8th students. Keeping in mind the future of thousands of students MP board has come up with this initiative and also provide the second chance to the students to clear the exams if not in the first attempt.

Appearing for the board exams in class 10th and 12th makes the students in stress and this affects the future of the students. So, if we make the students familiar with the board exams at the initial stage then this will help the students to perform better at class 10th and 12th. Thus, to improve the academic system and provide quality to the education MP board has finally come back with the board exams in class 5th and 8th.
