University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has recently announced their entrance exam (UPESEAT 2019) dates for engineering admission in the academic session 2019-20. The exam will be conducted in the period of April 29 to May 05, 2019. Earlier on September 14, 2018, UPES had released the application form to apply for UPESEAT 2019. The last date to apply for UPESEAT 2019 is April 25, 2019.
Candidates will be able to apply for the entrance exam on the official website of UPES. The application form is available online. The application fee is Rs. 1850/- for all programs. To apply for the exam candidates have to fill the sign up form first. After verifying the email, the online application form will be activated. Candidates can complete the application form fill up process and proceed to pay the online application fee.
The fee payment is to be done online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or any other form of online payment.
The exam pattern of UPESEAT 2019 is like any other engineering entrance exam. There will be questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language Comprehension and Current Affairs Awareness. The marks distribution will be such that 50 questions will be asked each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 30 questions will be asked from the English Language Comprehension section and 20 from Current Affairs Awareness. Thus there will be a total of 200 questions. There will be no negative marking and total time given to all the candidates will be 3 hours.
UPES has seen a great placement year in the previous academic session. In 2018, the placement has been 94%. The university provides B.Tech courses and specialisation in Information Technology, Oil and Gas, Mechanical, Power, High Technology, Aerospace, Infrastructure, Health, Safety, and Environment, and Electronics & Communication.
The admission process of UPES is simple. Candidates have to apply online for the online entrance exam – UPESEAT. Thereafter, they need to appear and qualify the exam. The result has to be checked on the official website. The qualifying candidates will be thus appearing for the counselling rounds and the admission will be finalised thereafter.
The University also grants scholarships to the eligible and deserving candidates. 50% tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in the first year for CBSE, ICSE & State board pass out students is available. To avail this scholarships candidates must have secured 80% marks in class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM.
