UPCATET 2022 Registration Begins, How To Apply Online at upcatetexam.org Explained Brochure

Candidates can apply online till April 30, 2022. The exam will be conducted on June 16 and 17.

UPCATET 2022 Registration Begins

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) registration has begun online. Candidates can apply at upcatetexam.org. till April 30. The exam is to be conducted on June 16 and 17. The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs.1250 and for SC/ST candidates, it is Rs.1050. The exam is conducted to admit eligible candidates into various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in the participating institutions and also provides scholarships and financial aid to selected candidates.

How to apply for UPCATET 2022?

Step 1: Head to the website upcatetexam.org.

Step 2: Under ‘Latest Update @ UPCATET’ select ‘Click Here for New Registration’.

Step 3: Enter candidate’s personal details, address, educational qualifications, etc.

Step 4: Upload the relevant documents – scanned in JPEG format.

Step 5: Complete the payment of application fees.

Candidates are required to save the login credentials for future purposes. The payment can only be done in online mode (net banking/ credit/ debit card). The documents required include candidate’s passport size photograph, scanned copy of signature, mark sheets and certificates, caste certificate, sports certificate (sports quota), right-hand index finger impression and Aadhar card.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age limit- For BVS-C and AH courses, the minimum age limit is 17 and maximum age limit is 25. For the other UG courses, the minimum age to apply is 16 and the maximum age is 22. SC/ ST/ PwD candidates will be given a relaxation of 5 years. There is no age limit for the PG and Ph.D courses.
  2. Candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification to apply for each course.
  3. Only the citizens of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to apply for the exam.

UPCATET 2022 exam pattern and cut-off

The exam pattern is different for each course. The candidates are advised to refer the official notification for the detailed exam pattern and syllabus. However, each question carries 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer marked by the candidate. Also, the minimum cut-off marks for General and OBC candidates is 20%. For the Sc/ ST candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 10%.
