The Department of Social Welfare, Uttar Pradesh tries to provide support to underprivileged students, each and every year through various welfare programs, including scholarships. Students studying in Pre-matric classes (9th and 10th) and Post-matric classes (11th and 12th) can apply under this scheme. To ensure equality, students of both government and private schools are allowed.
The application form for the UP scholarship was declared by the Saksham Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Online System on October 25, 2021. Candidates simply had to visit the official website and apply by filling out the details asked.
After receiving all the applications, the Department will check all the details and release an ‘Application Status‘. Candidates can check their application status using two different ways –
– Checking via the “Saksham Portal”.
– Checking via the “Public Financial Management System (PFMS)”.

To check their results using the Saksham portal, candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below.
Step 1. Go to the official UP scholarship website, scholarship.up.gov.in
Step 2. This will direct candidates to the homepage. On the homepage, under the title bar, candidates can find the “Status” drop-down menu. Hover over it.
Step 3. This will display several academic years. Click on “2021-22”.
Step 4. An authentication page will open where candidates will be asked to enter their “Registration Number” and “Date of Birth”. Click on “Search” after entering the credentials.
Step 5. The scholarship status will automatically display on the candidate’s screen.

Another way of checking the scholarship status is via the Public Financial Management System (PFMS). To help students with this method, a stepwise guide is mentioned below.
Step 1. Visit the authority site of Public Financial Management System, pfms.nic.in
Step 2. Going to the homepage, candidates can find a link for “Know your payments”. Click on it.
Step 3. This will guide candidates to an authentication page where they’ll be asked to enter details like Bank Details, Account Number, and Word Verification captcha. Click on search after entering all these details.
Step 4. This will automatically display the candidate’s application status on the screen.
Step 5. Students can save this by clicking on the “Download” button.
