UP Legislative Assembly Elections are round the corner but as of now, the Election Commission has not announced the dates. The last election that the state witnessed was in March 2017 after which in May, the current ruling party was crowned the winner. As of now, the tenure of the current government is going to be over in May 2022. Therefore, the major buzz is about the new election date for this year.
The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly has a total of 403 seats out of which a party needs 202 to win with a clear majority. As per the latest buzz, it can happen that the UP elections are in February and March 2022 months. Although, there is no official announcement it is expected that ECI may announce the dates and phases of elections in the upcoming days.
UP Elections List 2022
As per the state elections demographics, there are two major opponents, NDA and Samajwadi party. The NDA (National Democratic Alliance) is teamed up by the BJP, Apna Dal, and Nishad Party. Similar to this is the Samajwadi party that has an alliance with several regional parties. A third party BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) is also one of the key parties that is been participating in the UP elections for a long time. As of now, none of the parties has finalized their name of candidates bit is expected soon.
UP Elections Voter 2022
Although the state elections are devoid of any dates, even then the voters can know if they can participate in the upcoming elections. For the same, the EC has released the voter list beforehand. The people can simply download the list and check it to know if their name appears in it.
UP Elections Opinion Poll 2022
The opinion poll is usually released after the elections are over. However, experts who know the demographics of the state are of the adamant belief that this time too, BJP may retain its rulership. It is also believed that this time too, the party may choose Yogi Adityanath as the chief minister of the state.
UP Elections Result 2022
If rumors come true and the elections are conducted in February/March 2022. Then, in that case, the result can be out by April 2022. Post result declaration, the other formalities shall be conducted with the winner party.
