The Uttar Pradesh class 12th board exams took a dramatic turn yesterday with the news of the alleged leak of the English paper. The Class 12 English paper was scheduled for yesterday, March 30, however, the question paper leaked before the examination commenced. This news then spread like a fire and after a special probe, the board decided to cancel the examination in at least 24 districts. Whereas, for the remaining districts, the examination was held as per the designated date and time.
It was reported that the question paper belonging to Series 316-ED and 316-EI were leaked. Hours after the incident, the board canceled the examination. Furthermore, Vinay Kumar Pandey, an official from UP Board notified that now the Class 12th English paper canceled in 24 districts shall be held on April 13, from 8 am to 11.15 pm. This examination shall be held with strict anti-cheating measures to avoid any further instances of cheating or irregularities in the examination.
Paper Leaked on Whatsapp
On March 30, it was reported that out of the two sets of class 12 English papers, one set was leaked in around 24 districts. After this news broke, the board launched a special probe and in that, the DIOS of Ballia was suspended. The police later clarified that the paper was leaked on the messaging app, Whatsapp. As of now, there are no names of the mastermind who were behind this whole case. However, the police have reassured to catch the mastermind behind the paper leak soon. With the idea of curbing cheating and malpractices during the examination in the state, the board has gone for multiple anti-cheating measures this year.
After this whole incident, the students who have prepared for the exam were disappointed. A lot of them alleged that this kind of negligent behavior of the board is completely unacceptable.
