The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is conducting the practical exams again for those candidates who had left the exams for any reason. The board has already decided the exam dates. For the practical exams, the board has appointed 9 centres. The board has also sent the list to the affiliated schools and has also informed the examiners. In the district, UPMSP has appointed 31 examiners. After this, the students will not be allowed to appear for the practical examinations. The practical exams of class 12 will be conducted on March 05 and 06, 2019.
In the district, around 1,00,489 students are registered for the exams. Out of which, 44,666 are from the intermediate standard. Initially, the practical exams of class 12 were held from December 2018 to January 2019. In that duration, many students did not manage to sit for the exams. So, the board has decided to give them the second opportunity to appear for the practical exams.
The board exams of class 12 began from February 07 and ended on March 02, 2019. The first and the last exams were of Woodwork/ Prandhshilp/ Stitching/ Psychology/ Pedagogy/ Logical Studies and English respectively.
For class 10, the board conducted the examinations from February 07 and finished on February 28, 2019. The first exam was for Music Singing and the last was Sanskrit.
Around 31,95,603 students are going to appear for the exams for class 10 in the current year. For class 12, about 26,11,319 students had taken part in the examinations. So, in the current year, 58,06,922 students are set to appear in high school and intermediate examinations. The examinees count this year is 9,15,846 less than last year.
Now, the students are searching for the results. Last year, the UP Board result was declared on April 29, 2018. So, this year, the students may get the result in the fourth week of April 2019. On the same day, the result for class 10 was also announced. So, this year, the result can be released on the same day of both classes.
In 2018, around 6 lakh students appeared for the exams. Out of which, 29,81,327 students enrolled for class 12th examinations while 36,55,591 candidates appeared for class 10th exams. The total pass percentage was 72.43% of the students of class 12th. The girls of the state score total of 78.44% while the boys scored a total of 67.36%.
For class 10, around 36,55,691 students took part in the exams. The overall pass percentage was 75.16%. Talking about the stats gender-wise, the pass percentage of girls was 78.8% and of the boys 72.3%.
