Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited, also known as UGVCL has published the latest recruitment notification for the post of Vidyut Sahayak/Junior Engineer (Electrical) at the website ugvcl.com. The power distribution company based in Gujarat is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 20 vacancies for the aforementioned post. Eligible applicants are to be shortlisted through an online test to be conducted at a later date. The online application process has already commenced at the aforementioned website on December 08, 2020. Intending candidates can register and apply online till the last date i.e. December 28, 2020, till 11.59 PM.
As per the detailed recruitment notification, currently, there are 20 vacancies available for the post of Vidyut Sahayak/Junior Engineer (Electrical). UGVCL JUNIOR ENGINEER RECRUITMENT 2020 DETAILED NOTIFICATION
Candidates selected for the post are entitled to receive fixed remuneration of Rs 37000 during the first year. In the second year, the remuneration is to increase to Rs 39000 per month following which, it will remain unchanged for the total period of 5 years. Candidates are not entitled to receive any other perks or benefits apart from the salary. However, if considered for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) on regular basis, candidates have the opportunity to rise up to a pay scale of Rs 45400-101200.
It is mandatory for applicants to hold a full time B.E. (Electrical)/B.Tech (Electrical) degree obtained through regular mode of education with 55% marks in the final year without ATKT. Applicants must not be more than 35 years old (unreserved category). For reserved categories (including EWS), the maximum permissible age is 40 years as on the date of advertisement. In addition, applicants must have good knowledge if Computer Operations and command over the English & Gujarati language.
UGVCL will conduct online test for selection of the eligible applicants in the first stage. The organisation has indicated the tentative syllabus of the exam. There are five sections in the test paper containing MCQ type questions only. These are General Knowledge, English Language, Electrical Engineering, Computer Knowledge and Gujarati Language & Grammar. Among these, the core subject of Electrical Engineering carries 60% weightage of the total marks while the rest carry 10% weightage of marks each. Detailed syllabus of the section on Electrical Engineering and complete exam pattern can be checked from the official notification.

There is no need to send or upload any supporting document although candidates must note that all original documents are to be produced during final selection. Candidates may note that upon selection, 85% of the available vacancies are to be filled up by Gujarati residents.
