UGC NET 2019

NTA UGC NET June 2019 was conducted between June 20 to 26, 2019 for 9.42 lakh candidates. The National Eligibility Test was held for 81 subjects at 615 exam centers in 237 cities. For smooth conduct of the computer based tests, a control room was operated and managing operations were 15 regional coordinators, 162 city coordinators, and 280 observers.

Now NTA has released question papers and answer sheets of candidates for the UGC NET June 2019 exam. Candidates need to visit ntanet.nic.in in order to download it. All you need is your application number and date of birth.

It is now expected that UGC NET answer key 2019 will be available by July 1, 2019. Initially there seemed to be chances of answer keys releasing today only. However, upon contacting NTA UGC NET officials, it was found out that being Saturday, Sunday, answer keys will probably be out on Monday or later.

For those wondering how to check right and wrong questions using UGC NET 2019 answer sheet, you have to start with downloading your question paper. Go to ntanet.nic.in and scroll down to the link with text display of question paper and responses.

Upon clicking it, you will land on the login page. Here, you have to enter application number in first field, and select date of birth from dropdown in second field. Then enter the case sensitive security pin in third field. Click on submit button.

This leads to the candidate dashboard, where you will find link that says please click here for display of your question paper and your responses. Clicking that opens your NTA UGC NET June 2019 question paper with responses.

The same PDF file acts as your question paper and answer sheet. Against every question, chosen option is shown. This is the answer marked in exam.

Now there are two ways to know whether answer chosen is right or wrong. First is to refer textbooks to know the correct answer. Second is to wait for answer key of UGC NET June 2019.

After that, count the total number of correct answers in paper I and paper II. You can even calculate your predicted score by multiplying total number of correct answers by 2. There is no negative marking, hence no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

In order to be considered for merit list, candidates must get at least 40% in aggregate in paper I and paper II, or if they belong to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Transgender) then they must get 35%.

Top 6% candidates will qualify for JRF and/or Assistant Professor on basis of UGC NET Result 2019. As per information brochure, date of declaration of result is by July 15, 2019.

National Testing Agency is the exam conducting body of UGC NET and several exams such as JEE Mains, NEET UG, JNUEE, DUET. The body was established in 2017 to conduct higher education exams.
