Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) conducted the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) today, in 24 cities all over India. The exam was held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The exam is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates for admission in various colleges across the country for Bachelor of Design courses. The results are to be announced on March 10, 2022.
UCEED 2022 Question Paper, Answer Key, Explanations
The official answer key will be released on January 25, 2022 by IIT-B. However, candidates can check the unofficial answer keys from various websites, published by coaching institutes.

The question paper consists of 2 parts- A and B, carrying a total of 300 marks. Part A consists of 68 questions, with a total of 240 marks. Part B consists of 1 question carrying 60 marks. Part B doesn’t have any negative marking. The marking scheme of the UCEED exam is given below:

*MSQs have multiple options to choose from. In such questions, more than 1 option can be the answer to a particular question. So the marking depends on the number of correct answers the candidate has marked.
- If the candidate chooses all the correct options, but none of the incorrect options, 4 marks is awarded.
- If 3 of the 4 correct options are chosen and none of the incorrect options are chosen, the candidate is awarded 3 marks.
- If 2 of the correct options and none of the incorrect options are chosen, 2 marks is awarded.
- If only 1 correct option is chosen, the candidate is awarded 1 mark.
- Candidates are not awarded any mark, if the question is left unattempted.
- In all the other cases, the negative marking is -1.
IIT-B will release the official draft answer key on January 25, 2022 at uceed.iitb.ac.in. The candidates will also be allowed to raise their objections and comment on the draft answer key till January 27. Following this, the final answer key will be published on January 31, 2022. The cut-off marks of the exam will be declared on February 10. The UCEED results will be released on March 10, 2022. Candidates will be able to download their score cards from March 14 to June 14, 2022.
The admission process for B.Des program will begin on March 14, 2022. Candidates can apply online till March 31. There will be 3 seat allotment rounds, on April 10, May 10 and June 10, 2022 respectively. Qualifying candidates can apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, IIITDM Jabalpur and other colleges offering design courses.
